This Data Usage Policy explains how vehicle, maintenance, and account data is used inside My Car Buddy.
Vehicle make, model, year, mileage, and service history are used to generate maintenance forecasts for your account. This data is associated with your account and is not shared with third parties without your consent.
Readings come from you, or from a mechanic proposal you approve. Every reading is kept as a permanent log, so mileage history cannot be quietly rewritten.
Your forecasts are computed only from your own vehicles' readings; we do not use another account's data to produce them. We may use aggregate, anonymized data to publish industry research and develop new features. Aggregate data does not identify you, your vehicles, or your business.
If you opt in to mechanic, insurance, or parts partner programs, we share only the data necessary to deliver that service. You can opt out at any time from your account settings.
You may export your service history, vehicle records, and account data at any time from your dashboard, or by request to support.
You may delete your account and associated data at any time. Some records may be retained for legal, accounting, or fraud prevention purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy.
