Everything you have already added — vehicles, parts, mileage history,
receipts and saved reports — is still here and still readable, whichever
option you pick. You can download any saved report at any time, on
either plan.
You’re already on a paid subscription.
You don’t need the free plan, and your account shows no ads. This
page is here for reference — nothing below changes your billing.
We’ve updated our Privacy Policy.
You accepted an earlier version, so we need you to read and accept the
current one before continuing on the free plan.
Every safety-critical part — brakes, tires, steering, suspension

Which parts count as safety-critical?
The ones whose failure risks a crash rather than a breakdown:
brakes (pads, rotors, fluid),
tires and wheel alignment,
steering, and suspension —
shocks, struts, ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings.
It is worked out from the part itself, not from a fixed list, so a
part you add by hand is judged the same way as one we seeded. On a
typical car that is around a dozen parts on top of every fluid
— oil, coolant, brake, transmission, differential, power
steering. Everything else on the vehicle is still listed and still
yours; it just is not forecast until you subscribe.

What this summary is
A plain-language summary of the parts that matter most for the
ad-supported plan. It does not replace the full Privacy Policy and
Terms of Service linked above — please read those too.
What we collect
Your account details, the vehicles and assets you add, the parts,
mileage, expenses and documents you record, and basic technical
information about the device and browser you use.
Advertising on the free plan
The free plan shows ads, supplied by Google AdMob in the apps and
Google AdSense on this website. They may receive your device’s
advertising identifier and standard device information, and may set
cookies to choose which ads to show. Ads can appear on signed-in
pages as well as public ones. Paid subscriptions show no ads
anywhere. Full detail:
Advertising and the Free Plan.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information, and your fleet data is
never used for advertising or shared with an ad provider — not
your vehicles, mileage, parts, receipts, expenses or service records.
Location permission is used only to find nearby fuel prices when you
ask for it; the app does not track your location in the background.
Your data if you leave
Choosing neither option leaves your account read-only. Nothing is
deleted, you keep access to everything already recorded, and you can
download your saved reports.
By continuing, you agree to the My Car Buddy Privacy Policy and
understand that the free plan is supported by advertising.
No credit card is required for the free plan. If you decline, your
account simply stays read-only — nothing is deleted and you can
come back and accept, or subscribe, at any time.
